Cleer has unveiled the Bridge, its first pair of clip-on true wireless earbuds, carrying Dolby Audio 2.0 and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, Bluetooth 6.0 and Snapdragon Sound support, priced at HK$1,280 in Champagne Gold and Obsidian Black.

Clip-on earbuds have always carried an unspoken understanding: comfortable to wear, but keep your expectations low on sound. The Bridge sets out to overturn that reputation — Dolby certification, hi-res transmission and a large titanium driver would not look out of place in an in-ear pair, yet here they are squeezed into a clip-on under 8 g. The question is whether enough people will pay over a thousand dollars for one.

Clip-on earbuds have historically sold on the wearing experience: nothing in the ear, no pressure, jewellery-like looks — with sound as the compromise. The Bridge goes the other way. An open design physically sheds low frequencies, so Cleer counters with DBE 5.0 dynamic bass enhancement for automatic compensation; the 12 mm titanium composite diaphragm counts as a large driver in this class, and with aptX Lossless up to 24-bit/96 kHz transmission, the link lives up to the transducer.

For comfort, the Bridge uses what the press release calls “pressure-relieving cloud cushion” ear pads with high-elasticity memory material, spreading the load as it clips onto the ear. The open design lets listeners stay aware of their surroundings while music plays, and a directional sound design claims to focus sound toward the ear canal and reduce leakage.

Calls are an area clip-on earbuds rarely get credit for. The Bridge pairs MEMS microphones with a bone-conduction VPU sensor and cVc noise reduction, which Cleer claims keeps conversations clear even on busy streets and inside MTR carriages.

The Bridge is the third form in Cleerʼs open-ear line: the ear-hook ARC, the ear-clip Clip Pro, and now the clip-on Bridge. Battery life runs 7 hours per charge and 23 hours with the case; IPX5 water resistance, with USB-C charging on the case.

Cleer Bridge Specs

Clip-on earbuds have long played the backup role: commuting, running, meetings — convenience first. The Bridge wants to push them to the front line at a four-figure price, and the spec sheet is ready for it; the question is whether the market will pay full price to use a clip-on pair as its daily driver.
