EvoAria (Zhongshan EvoAria Technology) has launched the Evo Era, an all-in-one player that puts CD playback, USB decoding and Bluetooth streaming in one chassis. It carries a unified retail price of ¥8,999 across mainland China, with the release date still to be announced; the unit has already appeared at both the Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show and the Shenzhen International Audio Show in August.
Getting CD playback, decoding and headphone amplification onto a desktop usually means stacking several boxes. The Evo Era folds all of it into a 182 × 182 × 29 mm aluminium case — weighing 1,025 g with a built-in 10,000 mAh battery, a weight the company markets as “portable enough to carry around”.
The decoding stage is dual-architecture: two ES9069Q chips run in MONO mode in parallel for the Δ-Σ path, alongside a precision resistor-ladder network of 170+ pieces for R-2R, backed by a 100K-density LUT FPGA handling signal shaping and compensation. Amplification comes from two Nutube 6P1 tubes on a three-way analogue architecture — two hybrid tube-front, solid-state-back designs (Lumina and Velvet), plus one pure solid-state path (Fully_TR).
Two decoding schemes, three amplifier paths and a CD mechanism in one box — why pile it all in? Look past the parts list and the goal becomes clear: it is about not locking buyers into a house sound before purchase. Where several sound signatures used to require several pieces of gear, the Evo Era leaves the flavour-switching to after the purchase.

The Evo Era appeared at both the Hong Kong and Shenzhen shows in August. The company describes listening at both stops as well received, with many visitors bringing their own treasured CDs to try the player with tracks they know by heart.
On the brandʼs official Xiaohongshu account, the latest progress update: 1x-speed ripping is complete, and overall software design stands at 99.99%.
Ripping is not a new trick — the FiiO DM13 and Shanling CR-60 both do it. The Evo Eraʼs choice of 1x speed is the conservative route: the slowest rotation leaves the fewest read errors and corrections, so the rip lands as close to the original disc as possible.
It also follows the Evo One, EvoAriaʼs first product: the company says the Evo Era carries over the Evo Oneʼs vacuum-tube architecture and fully balanced amplifier circuit, then moves USB decoding and Bluetooth streaming into the same box.
The Evo One is a portable player; the Evo Era turns it into a desktop CD player — same technical thread, two ways to use it.
CD, USB and Bluetooth inputs, plus multiple switchable sound signatures — all in one box. When it goes on sale and what it will cost in Hong Kong: the company has nothing to say yet.
